Surely, you have already met with this acronym, as it is often used. It is a similar to the phone book of the world wide internet, to look up the Internet Protocol (IP) address of each server.
This DNS makes it easier for the users to remember the web address (URL) and email address (e.g.: http://webandaustin.com/ or hello@webandaustin.com) without worrying about how the computer is actually does it (e.g.: http://webandaustin.com/ ‘s IP address is 5.159.232.239.)
You can simply just compare it to someones phone number as you remember the someone name but your phone does the rest. In this case your web-browser would remember how to go to the desired web address.
